Es geht um den Wortkünstler und Schriftsteller Tennessee Williams (“Die Katze auf dem heißen Blechdach”), dessen drei Einakter vom Pravda!Pravda!! International Theatre Collective dargeboten werden. Die Schauspieler von Pravda!Pravda!! haben anlässlich des 100. Geburtstages von T. Williams das Stück “Fracture” kreiert, welches drei seiner Einakter miteinander verbindet: “The Lady of Larkspur Lotion”, “Moony’s Kid Don’t Cry” und “This Property is Condemned”. Der gemeinsame Kern ist der Konflikt zwischen nüchterner Realität und der Notwendigkeit der Illusion, um zu überleben.
Pravda!Pravda!! arbeitet mit der Method-Technik, die den Schauspielern die emotionale Tiefe und Lebendigkeit von Tennessee Williams zu erforschen erlaubt. Mit einem Bühnenbild der brasilianischen Künstler Arianne Vitale und Thiago Bortolozzo gibt das Kollektiv diesen November mit “Fracture” sein Berlin-Debüt in englischer Sprache mit deutschen Übertiteln – im Theater im Schokohof – TISCH in Berlin-Mitte.

The common essence among them is the constant clash of dry reality and the necessity of illusion to survive. Pravda! Pravda!! works with the Method technique, which allows the actors to explore Tennessee’s emotional depths and liveliness.
„Fracture“, with set designed by the Brazilian artists Arianne Vitale and Thiago Bortolozzo, is the collective’s debut in Berlin and premiers at Theater im Schokohof, November 3rd.
The plays will be performed in English with German supertitles.

Tennessee Williams – an artist of words which even in the year of his 100th birthday are full of Zeitgeist. With the plays „A Streetcar named Desire“ and „A Cat on a Hot Tin Roof“ the playwright steered himself into the hearts of his audience and received the Pulitzer Prize for both plays.
With this production Pravda Pravda!! salutes the playwright to his 100th birthday!
