Installation “Bazar”, Frei Museum, Berlin 2012
15 students from the Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin studying visual communication and space strategies and 15 students of the Srishti School of Art, Design & Technology in Bangalore, South India, will present the results of their corporate project on the topic »the Market«. The participants could define »the Market« as specific experience, as an abstract term or as a metaphor for socioeconomic correlations.
Photographs, movies, drawings, space installations and actions in the public space emerged. The exhibition shows how artists and designers are able to comment developments concerning the general public and how successfully »pictures« may be opposed to the perception of politicians, planners, and location marketers. »Pictures« which visualize alternative needs and priorities.
